Decision making on how much time a real estate investor will put in different activities on the business is crucial. As they say, 'time is money'. It is no different when deciding to market real estate on the internet. Normally, having a website is a lot better than just email contacts. Though email is more personal, it has a lesser scope compared to a website available for viewing to the internet public. Decide how much time you will be devoting online on the internet.
The first tip we can give for real estate investors who do marketing online is to have a website and a design that appeals to the business. A website that would have a homepage that has photos that tell a story of buying and selling real estate will get the attention of the market niche being targeted online. Most of the time those who go online do a search and your website should be in the list of real estate websites that show.
Links and tabs that lead to other pages of the website should be easy to navigate. A buyer should get to a page for prospective buyers and a seller to their own page. Distinction of search and purpose in a website will get more interested. Avoid advertisements or links that will lead to another website. It really depends though if you would also want to earn from advertisements. That's part of the internet business! You could also include registration and log in for more contacts and leads. This could also be used for referral purposes.
The second tip is related to your website and that would be email. If you had used email in marketing it is now time to invite contacts to your website. Your contacts and those that will register on the website is a list that could subscribe to your communications. For every email you send out be sure that your website URL link is always present. It depends if you want a link to the homepage or a URL directly to the page you want them to be.
The third tip to be given for internet marketing for real estate investors is to find time to be active in real estate forums. As mentioned in the first tip, find time and manage it. An hour a day in different forums reading member posts, posting your own and some live chat with members is good internet marketing strategy. Your availability online is important. Just imagine you have a great website and good internet contacts but they hardly find you online. What business do you expect from them? Also, why should they give you business when it takes you decades before going online?
Last note here is not just applicable on internet marketing but in any form of marketing. Presence and availability of the real estate investor in communications is the most important factor. Will you shut down your mobile phone or leave your telephone line to answering machines? Of course no, as much as possible you want it open and available. Even if you have a big staff office, there is nothing that would replace your personal attention to the business.
